2007-2008 Schedule for Youth Group

All youth 14 and older are invited to join our Youth Group which meets primarily on Sunday evenings. The activities and meeting times are determined by the interests of the group and range from meeting other UU youth to inspiring community service projects. Their activities include growth opportunities in the areas of worship, youth-adult relations, connection, social action, learning, and leadership. This group always has lots of fun together!

June 1, 2008: … plan Youth Sunday and camping trip final details

June 6 to June 8, 2008: Camping Trip! 

June 8, 2008: 11am ~ Intergenerational Youth Sunday Service with rites-of-passage ceremonies

June 15, 2008: 11am ~ Intergenerational Flower Communion Service

June 15, 2008: Afternoon or Evening ~ End of year fun activity

September 9, 2007: 11am ~ Intergenerational In-gathering Water Service

September 9, 2007: 6:30pm ~ planning meeting for Youth Group

September 16, 2007: after church ~ Welcome Back lunch out!

September 23. 2007: 3pm Darrick’s Ordination and then after, video game fun!

September 30, 2007: no meeting. District Con is this weekend.

October 7, 2007: 6pm ~ rent movie and pizza for whoever is in town this holiday weekend

October 13, 2007: Saturday 12:30pm to 4pm: Bikes Not Bombs collection at St. John’s Church (welcome people, help break down bikes, load on truck)

October 14, 2007: Go to UU church in Essex to talk to youth and parents about Coming-of-Age program

October 21, 2007: collect wood at Chris & Ken’s for fundraising project

October 28, 2007: 6pm to 8:30pm: Popcorn Theology ~ The Pursuit of Happiness

November 25, 2007: 6pm to 8:30pm: Popcorn Theology ~ Spiderman 3 (& celebrate Chris’ birthday)

December 2, 2007: 6:30pm ~ New Games with David Morrison

December 9, 2007: 6:30pm ~ Cooking homemade Pizza and baking Holiday Treats

December 14 or 15, 2007: overnight Friday 7pm to Saturday 9am (Zach’s house) ~ watching Meteor Showers with Kyle Morton … canceled due to snow but would like to reschedule

December 21, 2007: 6;30pm ~ Lead Intergenerational Winter Solstice service (gather at 6pm to prepare)

December 23, 2007: 11am ~ Intergenerational Holiday Service with pageant (Youth Group doing story-for-all-ages).

December 30, 2007: 3pm ~ Movie Night ~ go see Juno & return to church at 6pm for an intergen celebration of Abood’s birthday

January 6, 2008: 6:30pm ~ planning meeting, make group covenant, and see Invisible Children documentary

January 13, 2008: Plan fundraising event to benefit Invisible Children
